Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Our Commitment to Transparency
Dressing Wizard is built around one goal: helping you find outfits that are genuinely worth buying. We participate in affiliate marketing programs, which means Dressing Wizard earns affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly how that works and how it affects (and does not affect) our recommendations.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a performance-based arrangement where a website earns a small commission when a reader clicks a link and makes a purchase on a third-party retailer's website. The price you pay is identical whether or not you use our link — the commission comes from the retailer's marketing budget, not from your pocket.
FTC Required Disclosure
In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we are required to disclose material connections between Dressing Wizard and the brands and retailers whose products appear on this site.
Dressing Wizard earns affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. This applies to "SHOP →", "Shop Similar", and product links throughout the site.
A disclosure notice also appears in the footer of every page: "Dressing Wizard earns affiliate commissions from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you."
Affiliate Programs We Participate In
We currently participate in affiliate or associate programs operated by the following retailers and networks. This list may be updated as our affiliate relationships change.
- Amazon Associates Program
- AWIN (including ARKET, & Other Stories, Mango, COS)
- Rakuten Advertising
- ShareASale
- RewardStyle / LTK
- Individual retailer affiliate programs (e.g. Anthropologie, Veja, Mejuri, Uniqlo)
When no affiliate link is available for a recommended product, we link directly to the retailer's product page with no commercial relationship.
How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Content
Our recommendations are editorially independent. We select products based on quality, value, fit within the outfit formula, and real-world wearability — not on commission rates or advertiser relationships. We would (and do) recommend products with no affiliate link available when they are the best choice for the look.
Affiliate availability does not determine which brands appear in our articles. Several brands we regularly feature (including some Uniqlo products and independent designers) do not have affiliate programs with us at all.
We do not accept payment from brands to be featured in our editorial content. If that changes, we will disclose it clearly on the relevant content.
AI-Generated Content and Product Links
Some outfit recommendations on this platform are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. The AI system recommends products based on outfit criteria (occasion, style, colour palette, price range) and does not optimise for affiliate commission rates. Affiliate links are applied to recommended products after the editorial recommendation is made.
Sponsored Content
If we publish any sponsored content — articles, outfit features, or recommendations that involve direct payment or gifted products from a brand — we will clearly label that content with a "Sponsored" or "Gifted" disclosure at the top of the page. As of the date of this disclosure, we have not published any sponsored content.
Questions
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or want to know whether a specific product link is an affiliate link, email us at hello@dressingwizard.com. We are happy to clarify.
